DATING THE ATLANTEANS
As a late consequence of the Würm/Wisconsin Ice Age, the peoples inhabiting the shores of the North and Baltic Seas around the mid-13th century BC were compelled — due to climatic deterioration — to abandon their settlements and migrate towards Italy/Egypt...
In a singular, unprecedented, and unique revelation, the world learned from Plato (Tim. 24 e) that Athens once vanquished that >great military power which, advancing from the Atlantic Ocean, arrogantly marched against all of Europe and Asia Minor< — the Atlanteans. For the first time in the annals of history, this failed military campaign of the Atlanteans in and around Athens (Greece) can be dated specifically to 1242 BC:
Solon’s sojourn i n Egypt is historically substantiated for the specific period between 570 and 560 BC; it therefore serves as a suitable chronological anchor for dating the subject of Atlantis. To calculate the precise date of the Atlantean campaign against Athens (Tim. 23 e) — said to have occurred 9,000 lunar cycles earlier — we take the year 560 BC as our reference point:
9,000 : 13 = 682 years
+ 560 BC
1,242 BC
Thus, the >Atlantean campaign against Athens< — a subject generally dismissed by the academic community as mere myth — can, from a perspective of actual historical events, be dated to approximately 1242 BC.
From the year 1208 BC (the Year 5 Stele of Merneptah), we learn from King Merneptah not only the date of arrival of the Atlantean migration train in Egypt, but — for the very first time — the complete nomenclature of the individual Atlantean peoples, namely: the (Lebu), Teresh, Shekelesh, Peleset, Tjeker, Denyen, Sherden, Weshesh, and Meshwesh. However, since the Lebu are mentioned by name as early as the Old Kingdom, they cannot be an Atlantean people. I therefore surmise that this is not a tribal or ethnic name, but rather — (a point unrecognized by the translator) — denotes the direction (Libya) from which the contemporary migration of the Atlanteans originated.
